In this tragic cycle, every newly elected leader immediately cancels the previous administration’s long-term infrastructure projects, fires all experienced civil servants to hire unqualified party loyalists, completely rewrites the nation’s strategic goals from scratch, abandons critical infrastructure, raids sovereign wealth reserves, reverses long-term industrial policies, and completely dismantles previous economic blueprints. This is the exact, depressing reality we are forced to live with every day here in Nigeria.

Indeed, building stable national power grids, developing high-tech precision manufacturing, executing deep educational reforms, constructing nuclear power plants, building deepwater ports, fabricating indigenous microchips, establishing national space exploration programs, and building complex industrial supply chains strictly require decades upon decades of uninterrupted state investment.

It took China nearly 40 years of continuous, disciplined, and institutionalized research just to independently design, manufacture, and mass-produce a sovereign jet engine capable of powering their modern fifth-generation military fighter aircraft. In a chaotic, multi-party democratic setting lacking strong institutions, such a monumental engineering achievement would have been physically, politically, and economically impossible. And even outside of a democratic framework, a military government expecting to rule indefinitely would still inevitably require highly efficient, deeply organized institutions to accomplish such a massive technological feat.

Development economics aside, this complete absence of powerful, enduring institutions is the fundamental reason why developing nations across Africa and the Global South remain so tragically fragile, economically vulnerable, and perpetually susceptible to foreign-backed military coups, CIA-sponsored intelligence operations, and rapid regime changes.

The critical turning point that permanently shifted Pan-Africanism from passive, polite intellectualism to active, aggressive resistance was the 1935 Italian invasion of Ethiopia. Because Ethiopia was one of the very few sovereign, uncolonized African nations, its brutal invasion by fascist Italy sparked global outrage, unified black intellectuals, mobilized student groups, and energized trade unions across the globe. The obvious, natural choice for this new generation of leaders was the mass of young, highly educated continental Africans who had arrived in European capitals, primarily London and Paris, to study. Figures like Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya, and Léopold Sédar Senghor of Senegal were of particular, intense interest to the black intellectuals in the diaspora. This was because, unlike the diaspora leaders, these young men had actually lived under the daily, suffocating humiliation of direct colonial rule back home. Conducting, organizing, and coordinating such a massive conference connecting Africans from virtually all continents across the globe, at a time when the entire world was still desperately recovering from the physical destruction, economic ruin, and the chaos of World War II, was an absolute logistical nightmare. This is where T. Ras Makonnen, a wealthy, Guyanese-born businessman, passionate activist, and committed philanthropist stepped in. Makonnen owned a highly successful, lucrative chain of restaurants, hotels, and bookshops around Oxford Road in Manchester. It was a brutal, 52-day general strike involving roughly 150,000 workers across 17 militant trade unions. Azikiwe threw the full, massive weight of his media empire and political influence behind this strike, drafting fiery essays, publishing radical speeches, and mobilizing the workers across Nigeria to remain resilient, refuse to yield, and continue standing upright against British imperialism. So, while Azikiwe's physical presence in Manchester was functionally impossible, he still sent a highly trusted representative from his party to attend on his behalf, explicitly instructing him to endorse any and all radical resolutions adopted by the congress. But beyond his physical presence, Azikiwe's media platform was the key reason he was desperately needed. Back in 1945, there was obviously no internet, and the primary means of mass communication, such as the state radios and local newspapers, were entirely owned, censored, and controlled by the colonial administrators, who would never give a single second of publicity to such an important gathering of black revolutionaries. But Azikiwe already possessed an established, highly successful anti-colonial platform named "The West African Pilot." He used this platform to publish daily political essays, anti-colonial critiques, and weekly newsletters centered on the liberation struggles in Africa. This was incredibly vital for the conference because there had to be a reliable way to translate the highly intellectual, academic resolutions arrived at in Manchester directly to the everyday African kids, workers, and traders on the streets under colonial subjugation, so that the entire fight against imperialism did not remain confined within the cozy, academic circles of the UK. Azikiwe functioned as the vital transmission belt, translating the high-level resolutions made in Manchester directly into active, boiling political action on the streets of Lagos, Accra, and Freetown. It is also highly important to emphasize that at the time this conference was being organized,the legendary Obafemi Awolowo was a Law student in London and he personally attended, eventually returning to Nigeria to fund his own political party, the Action Group, and go on to become the highly influential Premier of Western Nigeria.

At the 1945 Manchester Congress, the delegates had passionately, aggressively debated the best tactical methods to force the European colonial powers out of Africa. They resolved that instead of polite lobbying, academic petitions, and diplomatic begging, they would deploy mass, non-violent resistance, general strikes, and total economic boycotts. Upon returning to the Gold Coast, which is now Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah put this exact revolutionary theory into direct, uncompromising practice. In 1949, he founded the Convention People's Party (CPP) as a mass, grassroots party of ordinary citizens, market women, local traders, and blue-collar workers, directly fulfilling the Manchester mandate to involve the marginalized masses rather than just the elite. In January 1950, Nkrumah launched his famous "Positive Action" campaign. Jomo Kenyatta was also a key delegate alongside Kwame Nkrumah at that 1945 Manchester Conference, and he similarly returned home to Kenya to lead the militant Kenya African Union party. Just like Nkrumah, he was promptly arrested and imprisoned by the British colonialists. However, due to the extensive political networks, domestic alliances, and social structures he had cultivated, combined with the mass, armed nationalist sentiment in Kenya, this ultimately forced the British to negotiate. Kenyatta was released from prison and became the first Prime Minister and President of an independent Kenya in 1963. By taking the abstract ideas of African liberation debated in England, turning them into highly disciplined, mass political parties back home, and successfully leading nations like Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya to independence, the delegates proved that the 1945 conference was the intellectual launchpad for the modern African continent. Now, the biggest case against Pan-Africanism is that this ideological framework, which brought immense pride and independence to the African continent, was tragically not properly, structurally grounded enough to sustain the actual post-independence revolution. They essentially monetized the slaughter, trading human tears for stock buybacks, leveraging the geopolitical chaos to absorb failing global assets, and completely monopolizing the postwar reconstruction efforts in a closed loop system of imperial extortion.

So if you do the basic math, you will easily recognize that this whole global shenanigan is one of the biggest corporate wealth transfers in human history. Of course, this blood soaked profiteering is not exclusive to the Iraqi war. The billions of dollars they confidently announce on your television screen as humanitarian aid packages to Ukraine are also part of this monumental wealth transfer scheme. They are not actually flying briefcases full of cash to Eastern Europe to share directly to Ukrainians in the streets, nor are they trying to help them survive the total economic devastation they had to endure due to the war. The money actually never leaves Washington. It ends up directly in the pockets of domestic military industries, private military contractors, Western logistics monopolies, and corporate lobbying firms.

This is exactly why, as every continent on the globe is almost in flames from manufactured regional wars, as engineered insecurity has pushed gas prices to the moon, as record hyperinflation destroys the working class, and as the cost of living becomes completely unbearable for the average citizen, the ruling class remains completely untouched. These oligarchs are recording billions in quarterly earnings, handing out massive executive bonuses, securing untouchable tax exemptions, and expanding their corporate empires into absolute global monopolies.

And they will confidently continue to line their pockets because they effectively own the entire planet, and their ultimate authority can never be challenged, because they absolutely control the mainstream media, the global banking system, and the academic institutions that ensure we interpret their manufactured conflicts strictly in the context of religion, ethnicity, and race. They do this so that we continue to violently fight each other over scraps, while they use our stolen wealth to build luxury underground bunkers and orbital escapes where they can comfortably retreat when the planet they destroyed finally becomes too hostile for human survival.

Understand that this revisionism would only be technically true if you defined political monsters by their empty campaign promises, rather than the brutal, corporate-backed actions they take once they occupy the actual halls of state power.

By this logic, we would have to define Donald Trump as an uncompromising pacifist simply because he campaigned heavily against foreign interventions. But we cannot logically make such an assertion, especially since we have all witnessed the Trump administration aggressively change the name of the Department of Defense back to the Department of War, launch a devastating military invasion of Venezuela, wage a full-scale war in Iran with tens of thousands of Marine Expeditionary Units stationed in the Persian Gulf, and repeatedly threaten the absolute, nuclear annihilation of entire sovereign civilizations.

It is critical to ask why a ruthless fascist, a corporate-backed dictator, and a genocidal warmonger like Hitler would campaign under the banner of socialist principles in the first place. The answer lies entirely in the volatile, desperate political climate of Weimar Germany. Having lost the First World War, the German state was forced to sign the humiliating Treaty of Versailles, which strangled their economy with unpayable, crushing reparations. If anything, the revolutionary German working class would have dragged him out to the public square, poured petrol over his head, and lit him up in flames on the spot.

However, Hitler did not rely solely on these deceptive socialist aesthetics to capture power. While the votes of the desperate working class were useful to win elections, the real power lay with the conservative army generals who would command his genocidal battalions, the private banks and industrial oligarchs who would finance his massive war efforts, and the multinational corporations who would supply the chemical agents, steel, and heavy machinery required for his imperial conquests. To this elite group, Hitler sang a completely different tune. He met with them in secret, closed-door sessions and confessed his true, fascist plans for the German state. He openly assured them that his pseudo-socialism was merely a tactical lie, and he claimed that genuine Marxism was a Jewish conspiracy invented to weaken and destroy the sovereign strength of nations.

But leaders with that level of uncompromising ideological commitment are rare. This is why the masses fighting for their liberation must remain aggressively vigilant, shielding their minds from the professional infiltrators who are only interested in hijacking the legitimate grievances of the working class to consolidate their own political power. The moment you see self-proclaimed "saviors" from wealthy, comfortable middle-class backgrounds, individuals holding Ivy League degrees and owning properties in Western capitals, standing on study podiums in the Global South acting like they represent the face of economic hardship, it should raise a massive red flag in your book. These individuals whose wealth is directly tied to systemic state corruption, the parasites whose families were permitted to own private oil wells, secure untaxed import monopolies, and buy up prime real estate in London and Dubai, are not your allies. When they try to capture your popular struggles while maintaining safe, lucrative connections to the Western transatlantic empire, they are telling you exactly who they are: highly paid, beautifully groomed actors waiting to inherit the colonial state and sell you out to the highest foreign bidder.

The cold reality is that America has absolutely zero geopolitical interest in making permanent, equitable peace deals with Iran.

Everything else that is being heavily advertised in the mainstream news cycle, such as Trump supposedly wanting "peace", Bibi Netanyahu allegedly throwing a tantrum and bombing Gaza or Lebanon to derail the talks, American right-wing nutjobs attacking Trump on television to demand he "teach" Iran a lesson, random gunshots fired outside the White House, and all the other manufactured crisis stories generated for daily optics, are nothing but highly coordinated political theatrics.

The Pentagon is not halting its kinetic attacks on Iran because they suddenly respect international law. They are pausing because their military preparations are simply not complete. America is currently running dangerously low on Patriot and THAAD interceptor missiles, they have depleted their strategic stockpiles, and the complex supply chains required to secure rare earth minerals like antimony, gallium, germanium, and neodymium, which are absolutely critical to manufacture the radar systems and precision-guided munitions for these weapons, are all tightly under China's sovereign control.

China strategically placed brutal export restrictions on the US during the renewed Tariff War initiated by the Trump Administration. It must never be reduced to a pathetic Boy Scout parade, a hollow cultural carnival, or a performative safe space where you brandish African masquerades, wear Rastafarian uniforms, flaunt meaningless tribal beads, and wave irrelevant flags just to mask your profound ideological emptiness and your absolute cowardice in the face of real imperial threats.

What is even more sickening, and deeply insulting to our collective intelligence, is that it is precisely this infantile, hyper-sanitized brand of Pan-Africanism that is being aggressively pushed down our throats by compromised local media houses and predatory Western movie industries.

Indeed, when it comes to showcasing American values, they portray a highly trained tactical commando diving from a stealth helicopter into foreign soil, using superior combat reflexes to evade enemy bullets, out-gunning hundreds of local fighters, and finally breaching heavily fortified enemy compounds to rescue crying, helpless American hostages.

But when it is time to represent African values, when it is time to produce a film about a resilient people that survived centuries of chattel slavery and was colonized twice, and when the absolute moment arrives to project genuine Black power to a population whose modern government institutions are held hostage by Western financial conglomerates, the cultural movies are systematically reduced to the most childish, primitive, and degrading superstitions you can possibly imagine.

These propagandist films never feature highly organized African think tanks writing razor-sharp political essays to demand structural institutional reforms, they never show radical academic unions staging massive grassroots protests, they never depict students aggressively occupying Western embassies, and they never advocate for the complete, unconditional dismantling of the colonial education systems in Africa.

Instead, the cinematic garbage being heavily promoted as the ultimate face of African representation is the Black Panther franchise, where instead of Africa developing via rapid industrialization, rigorous scientific research, and structural geopolitical discipline, this massive technological advancement was made possible by a mysterious, magical African element known as "Vibranium" which completely erases the sheer political will required to actually build a modern super society.

Instead of showing an advanced Africa operating under a highly sophisticated, meticulously planned socialist economic system, what is being offensively portrayed is 15th-century tribal primitivism, where grown men in high-tech suits have to strip half-naked, jump into a waterfall, and engage in ritualistic arm-wrestling just to decide who gets to control the nuclear codes and emerge victorious as the head of state.

This total bastardization of Pan-Africanism is not a creative accident, it was maliciously designed by Western psychological warfare experts to make sure the African revolution remains a harmless, profitable political fantasy.

It was socially engineered to ensure that Africans see the existential fight for their own economic liberation as merely a religious dogma to be observed, a colorful costume to be worn, or a superficial identity to be performed in the mirror while their continent is being looted dry.

Take a look at the puppet elites like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who always put on their highly expensive native attires in front of Western cameras, display colorful African flags in their corporate offices, recite safe, sterile speeches about global inclusion, and smile for the press while they actively enforce the predatory, neo-liberal policies of the World Trade Organisation that systematically keep African nations suffocating in a chokehold of eternal debt.

And let us not forget our local chiefs and Kings, who are always wrapped from head to toe in these expensive native attires and heavy traditional beads, yet are the exact same compradors who eagerly sign away our ancestral lands to foreign mining conglomerates, who happily act as glorified middlemen for neo-colonial extraction, and who lease out entire sovereign communities to Western oil cartels and foreign logging syndicates for a fraction of their actual worth.

To them, this performative, consequence-free fashion show is the entire definition of Pan-Africanism.

True Pan-Africanism is not about dressing up, it is about establishing and heavily funding powerful, parallel media outlets to systematically dismantle ruthless Western propaganda, it is about establishing radical book clubs in universities to drive a militant wave of intellectualism across the continent, it is about nationalizing our raw materials, and it is absolutely about severing the parasitic financial umbilical cord connecting our bleeding economies to Washington, London, and Paris.

The official excuse is being branded as a mere "fungal" disease, which is ridiculously funny, insulting, and misleading.

A mere disease can kill a handful of crops, but it can never systematically wipe out an entire agricultural belt spanning hundreds of thousands of acres. When a disaster of this magnitude destroys crops across multiple communities in Kaduna and neighboring states, we can be rest assured that this is a man-made, policy-driven disaster without a single shred of doubt.

Indeed, the N26 billion export figure quoted was not from 2024. Nigeria’s export of ginger in 2024 had already plummeted to a pathetic N6.2 billion, roughly 4.7 million dollars, which forces us to ask what actually happened between 2023 and 2024 to pave the way for this historic, sudden decline.

Everything began in 2017, when the World Bank sent their economic hitmen to Nigeria to convince the federal government that our agricultural output was poor.

They claimed the issue was not because the predatory terms of the World Trade Organisation banned the government from subsidizing local farmers, providing modern tractors, building secure storage facilities, or protecting domestic markets from heavily subsidized Western imports.

Instead, they deceitfully concluded that Nigerian farmers were doing poorly simply because they lacked access to modern, high-yielding, corporate-patented seeds.

As usual, the incompetent Nigerian government under the Buhari administration rolled over, spread their laps, and eagerly accepted a 200 million dollar loan from the World Bank to kickstart the APPEALS project.

Nigeria historically grew two traditional, highly resilient, non-genetically modified varieties of ginger known as UG1, locally called "Tafin Giwa," and UG2, locally called "Yatsun Biri."

Under this APPEALS program championed by the World Bank, ginger farmers in Northern Nigeria were instructed to abandon their local, highly resilient seeds. Instead, they were forced to source new, delicate foundation seeds from the National Root Crops Research Institute in Umudike, Abia State.

The NRCRI does not operate in a vacuum: it functions within a complex global network of funding, corporate interests, and academic research heavily bankrolled by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the agro-chemical giant Monsanto.

Under this collaborative framework, the Gates-funded institute provided the laboratory methodology and the modified parent seeds, while the World Bank’s APPEALS project supplied the logistics, the demonstration farms, and the training to force farmers into growing these highly dependent seeds. .

Traditionally, farming ginger is not rocket science. All a farmer had to do was make a small hole in the soil, drop the seed rhizome inside, cover it up, and let nature do the rest.

There are many performative reforms currently ongoing to supposedly rescue the Nigerian ginger market. But the cold truth is that the World Bank and Bill Gates successfully destroyed a thriving, self-sufficient local industry that fed millions of homes, and this is not the first time this economic sabotage has occurred in Nigeria.

Look at what they did to our cocoa industry in the late 1980s. But free speech alone cannot explain why these specific clips go viral.

Social media algorithms are brutally programmed to maximize "watch time," "shares," and "comments" to keep your eyes glued to the screen, which in turn allows them to harvest your attention and serve you more advertisements.

Just as Schiller pointed out that a dense crowd will instantly gather around someone telling a graphic story of a murder, we are naturally, helplessly drawn to shocking or tragic content.

The algorithm observes your lingering behavior, it tracks the exact millisecond your scrolling halts on a tragedy, it interprets this morbid curiosity as "high-value engagement," and it ruthlessly pushes that nightmare into millions of other users' feeds.

Because when users are posting millions of high-definition video clips every single second, you need a data storage infrastructure of almost infinite capacity. We are talking about massive server farms that consume more electricity than entire nations, thousands of high-tech cooling systems, and millions of petabytes of hard drive space that must be constantly maintained, secured, and updated.

And when people are finally able to post and interact freely on your platform, you must constantly fine-tune your algorithm to police hate speech, coordinate content moderation teams across fifty different languages, and filter out illegal content before it goes live.

In spite of all this, you still need to maintain an active, highly paid global staff to attend to endless government queries, to remove posts that threaten foreign "National Security," and to censor state-sponsored propaganda, or "incitement to violence" whenever a local puppet politician is criticized.

Even with all these systems in place, you are expected to spend hundreds of millions of dollars per year in legal fees to cover cases of parents claiming their children were exposed to sexual predators on your platform, government antitrust lawsuits, and international regulatory fines from the EU or the US.

So, obviously, the only way these platforms can recoup these astronomical costs is by selling targeted ads, which means they must do whatever is necessary, no matter how immoral, to keep you hooked, addicted, and constantly angry.

Yes, he acts as a pressure release valve for public anger, he pays lip service to failing US foreign policies, he builds his entire brand by voting "no" on symbolic bills that have already passed, and he tweets hollow constitutional platitudes to pacify his naive base, but let us stop pretending that is not exactly what Trump and Vance spent the early days of their political careers doing.

US representatives and politicians who come here to tell you that they oppose wars, that they need to send the troops back home, and that they care about your hard-earned tax dollars, are not actually fighting for the dignity of the human race.

It is all controlled opposition. Their job is to maliciously twist the narrative, to redirect your anger toward convenient scapegoats, and to sell the public the lie that America fights wars because of Israel, or Bibi Netanyahu, or Zelensky. In reality, these wars were drafted in advance by permanent US policy makers, and they will still happen regardless of who sits in the Oval Office.

And notice how these politicians like Massie never really address U.S. war crimes head on. They do not show a shred of pity for the families vaporized by drone strikes, they do not care about the millions uprooted from their homes, and they ignore the sovereign nations reduced to open-air graveyards just to clear the path for mega-corporations to mine minerals.

They tell themselves these conflicts do not serve American interests. Did that stop the illegal occupation of sovereign nations? Did that stop the starvation blockades and the carpet bombing of cities? Through operations like Project Paperclip, they merely changed the names of their subsidiaries, reshuffled their boardrooms, rebranded their public relations, and continued the exact same extraction of global wealth under a new, democratic flag. Massie is just the modern face of the same old trick, a court jester paid to keep you looking at the stage while the theater owners pick your pockets.

First, understand that Washington is blockading Iranian ports by intercepting and turning back commercial vessels attempting to trade with Iran. The US is using this as a "strangle tactic" to cut off a massive percentage of Iran’s remaining oil revenue and food imports.

Instead, Tehran is utilizing a $2 billion pipeline they constructed in the Jask region in anticipation of a possible US blockade like this to sell its oil. They are still able to bypass the US blockade and are waiting for the US to move.

Washington right now is aggressively baiting Iran to strike US warships to effectively launch full scale terror against the country.

To this end, the Trump administration doubled its maritime insurance backstop from $20 billion to $40 billion through the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). This program effectively pays commercial shipping companies to ignore Iranian warnings. By subsidizing the risk, the U.S. encourages vessels like the Louise P or the Pirima to sail into danger. When these ships are inevitably struck by Iranian drones or mines, the U.S. uses the "attack on global commerce" as a justification for expanded airstrikes. Of course, sailors and staff may die, but it is a sacrifice the US administration is willing to make.

Now, if you think this is nothing serious, please permit me to remind you that the last time the US pulled this off by doubling insurance premiums for maritime companies was during World War 1 and World War 2. In both cases, it was used to bait Germany to attack US flagged commercial vessels. This is because before World War 1 began, the British Royal Navy used its massive fleet to establish a "long-range blockade" of the North Sea.

And just like the US is doing to Iran now, the blockade was not even about guns or bullets but included food and anything that would allow the Germans to survive. Germany was not self-sufficient in food and the blockade caused massive shortages. As a result, more than 400,000 Germans died of starvation and malnutrition according to official estimates. Even as London blockaded the Germans, the US was basically shipping everything from bullets and guns to raw materials and fuel to make sure Britain maintained the blockade.

Not just physical goods or military supplies, the US banks gave Britain massive loans equivalent to $80 billion in today's currency. This amount allowed them to sustain the blockade.

This forced Germany to issue a directive to US vessels supplying equipment and food to their enemies to either halt operations or face the full wrath of the German navy. .

This was when the US government stepped in to increase the insurance premiums of these ships, practically signaling to them to go ahead and cross because the ships would be replaced if anything happened. In March 1917, three American merchant ships were sunk in a single weekend. Because these were "neutral" commercial ships protected by U.S. government insurance premiums, President Woodrow Wilson was able to frame the sinkings as a "war against all nations" and a violation of human rights. This gave Wilson the political capital he needed to ask Congress for a declaration of war on April 2, 1917.

So basically, "Project Freedom," launched today, May 4, 2026, by the US government to send guided missile destroyers and over 100 aircraft to help guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, is clearly not based on "humanitarian grounds" as they claim.

To see this, understand that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) typically deploys a minimum of 4 to 6 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to secure a "transit corridor" like the Strait of Hormuz. The cost to maintain a protective "envelope" around commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz using a force of 100 fighter jets and a standard pack of guided-missile destroyers is estimated at about $70 million per day. This figure is actually small. If this "guiding" operation escalates into active combat, the cost surges exponentially due to munitions expenditures and could reach $500 million to $1 billion per day. This is way more than Iran would even make in a year by simply collecting toll fees.

Now you understand that this is not about "Freedom of Navigation" but about forcing the Iranian regime into a corner where its only options are total economic collapse or a desperate military breakout.

This narrative is a calculated deception as most successful revolutionary movements are organized by intellectuals who are deeply grounded in philosophy, strategic organization, and political theory.

This lie and distortion of history has brainwashed youths across the Global South who are currently fighting institutional corruption and state-sponsored brutality. Because of this fake Hollywood revolutionary narrative, these youths under the delusion that all they have to do is come out en masse, set fire across the highways, occupy embassies, block international trade routes, and paralyze the airports.

They believe that the end goal is simply to invade the presidential palaces that house the officials causing their suffering and uproot them.

These always ends in disastrous failures because a revolutionary movement not backed by a rigid ideology usually ends in one of three ways: Collapse, Capture, or Chaos.

Let's look at some of these movements to understand why this is the case.

In the case of the EndSARS movement in Nigeria aimed at combating bad governance and police brutality.

Even though SARS was technically "disbanded," it was quickly replaced by SWAT.

The Nigerian government simply renamed the beast. Most of the judicial panels' recommendations were tossed into the trash, and police brutality remains a systemic plague in Nigeria today.

Sometimes it gets even worse. When a government is successfully toppled without a plan, the country descends into a nightmare.

Look at the 2019 Sudanese Revolution. The goal was to remove Omar al-Bashir and establish civilian rule. Shortly after removing the man they claimed was their only problem, Sudan collapsed into a bloody civil war. Now, 17 million Sudanese have been uprooted from their homes and reduced to refugees at the mercy of foreign NGOs, while the capital city of Khartoum has been effectively wiped off the map.

A revolution is not a street party, it is a very serious business.

In Political Theory, "Power" is a physical quantity. When you remove that power, it creates a vacuum. That vacuum MUST be filled for the state to function. Because these movements are usually composed of angry youths with clashing grievances, some want cheaper fuel, some want good roads, some are victims of police brutality, others want ethnic secession, and others are just desperate for jobs.

These people are prepared to crush their oppressors, but they have zero idea of what to do the moment the government house falls. This is exactly where the movement is hijacked by the military or foreign interests who were far more prepared for the "Day After" than the protesters were.

Even the Haitian Revolution has been sanitized too.

Western history books and films love to showcase it as a chaotic collection of slaves grabbing pitchforks and rifles to attack their masters. This is obviously a lie.

The most prominent figure, Toussaint Louverture, was an intellectual who had mastered a wide body of literature. He was a strategist and a writer.

During the wars, he didn't just fire guns.

He issued sophisticated proclamations, managed complex diplomatic relations with Britain, Spain, and France simultaneously, and drafted the Constitution of 1801. This constitution was an intellectual landmark: it was the first in the world to abolish slavery and insist on racial equality.

A revolution is 10 percent shouting in the streets and 90 percent administration. Louverture, of course, understood this.

Even while the war raged, he was obsessed with the economy. He knew that if the sugar mills stopped and trade died, the new nation would starve and be re-conquered. He was planning for a state, not just a rebellion.

Let's also look at the leaders of the Russian and Chinese Revolutions. Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong were philosophers and political theorists before they were commanders.

Long before the first shot was fired, these men had already written 500-page manifestoes, rigorous economic blueprints, and detailed manuals on social organization.

They knew exactly how to run a country before they took it. That is why when their wars ended, they did not descend into a power vacuum and Civil Wars or allow their movements to be hijacked.

They already had the new system designed and in their hands. All they had to do was plug it in the moment the old system crumbled.

The message is clear. If you are going to challenge a system, you must be more organized and more intellectually grounded than the system you are trying to destroy. Street protests are nothing but theater if they are not backed by a blueprint for governance. If you have not written the new laws, designed the new economy, and selected the new administrators before you burn down the old palace, you are simply creating a vacancy for a more organized oppressor to move in.

If you do not have a plan for the day after the revolution, then you are not a revolutionary. You are just a victim waiting for a new master.
